A “30 minute tire repair” can create a 3 hour domino effect. Pull one technician off a vehicle already promised, and suddenly that client is late, the next car loses its bay, and several people are paying for one unscheduled emergency. We should’ve explained that better. We weren’t refusing to help, we were protecting promises already made. And the advisor you spoke with commutes from Chicago, so he didn’t feel right recommending a local shop he couldn’t personally vouch for.
