Lake Bluff Tire Shop Auto Repair

"My wife left the house with a few things to get done before a business meeting. Came back shortly thereafter with a flat tire. The lug nuts were torqued to the point I couldn't get them loosened. I called Sunset Tire and Auto, with whom I had never done business, and asked if they could get someone over to my house quickly to replace the flat tire so we could both get on our way. They arrived in about 15 minutes, changed the tire and took the flat in for repair. Could not have handled this part of the transaction any better. I took the car in at the end of the day to swap out the now repaired tire with the spare. Chris, Angel and the balance of the staff couldn't have been more courteous, prompt and professional. In and out in about 15 minutes at a price I thought was very competitive. 100% satisfied! I will use them again and refer my friends and family to Sunset Tire and Auto for any auto service required. Customer service is the name of the game and these people totally get it. "

First time customer...now a returning customer. Discovered these guys through a local ad for an oil change. After two additional services, they are now my go-to shop. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, trustworthy. They do a good job of walking you through every step and you can't help but feel that they are on your side.

Went in to change a brake light which went out during our trip. Having no tools to do the job, I stopped in to have repairs made. The total time was about 15 minutes, and I expected to pay about 1/2 hrs labor plus the bulb. The bulb was replaced, and I was not charged one penny. My grandson was in the car who graduated boot camp, and they thanked him for his service. These folks are top of the line in my opinion...with class all the way. Bravo Zulu for the assistance.

This was my first visit to Sunset. Staff was friendly, professional, and competent. Pricing was fair. Their time estimates were spot on. Waiting room clean and comfortable. Will recommend to others, and return.

We traveled to visit family in Lake Forrest an en route we had our oil light come on. We made an appointment the next morning. They were ver good at letting me know what the problem was and that there was a small leak somewhere in my engine area. They didn't charge me anything for checking everything which surprised me. Theit service was great and I would highly recommend them if you need something done for your car.

Got a good deal on four new tires and had a couple of other things taken care of. Very pleased with the work done. Perhaps even more impressive were the employees at Sunset Auto. Chris kept me informed as to what my car needed. He was very personable and professional; a pleasure to deal with. The same goes for Angel, who was happy to give me a lift home as I had no ride on a cold day. These guys are good, good guys who create a happy, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend Sunset in Lake Bluff!

This is the first time I used Sunset Automotive in Lake Bluff and it certainly will not be the last! I was in a bit of a panic because I was in the hospital and laid up for several weeks, and not only did not have time to renew my license plate sticker before the end of December but also was did not get the required vehicle emissions testing completed. Because I live alone, this was quite a quandary. The last time I had driven my car before hospitalization I noticed a slight burning smell – which was all the more worry. The previous repair place I used for about 10 years was far enough away that I would have to tow it for the necessary repairs and they were going to require a minimal repair amount based on what they thought the problem was. I was given the OK to return to work this week and was still facing the car repair problem. I took a chance and the looked online for the closest auto repair shop and was thrilled to find that Sunset had excellent reviews on Yelp. I called them and within a couple of hours they came to my house, dropped off a loaner car, and took mine in to check it out. They diagnosed the problem to be something quite minor versus what my now former repair shop told me. Not only that, but they took my car in for emissions testing for no charge so I wouldn't miss more work and only had to take it to get the new license sticker. Bottom line is that I saved about $400 and a lot of time and aggravation! They were extremely courteous, honest, and went well above and beyond my expectations. They have a new customer for life and I recommend that EVERYONE give this fabulous FEMALE owned businesses a shot. You won't regret it!

Excellent Choice for your Automotive Servicing, I was very pleased with Staff, and work done, at an extremely reasonable price. I am a Veteran of Foreign Wars, these Guys are courteous and fast. This Automotive Service is an Asset to the Great Lakes Naval Base/ Libertyville/Lake Bluff Community. Keep up the Good Work!
